  • You will also pick your favorite of the 3 storyboards or favorite 5-8 minutes of storyboarding and create a "story reel" with a scratch track (rough audio).  Note: Drawing in layers originally would simplify creating story reel.
  • ** Is it possible to capture your work while drawing?  If you can show, similar to a speed painter on youtube that would be a great way to showcase your talent.

VFX Artist:
For this class you will design your own FX shot you would like to execute, in addition we will complete a few "staple" vfx projects.

  • Pre-production of executing FX shot with drawings and research for best methods to accomplish
  • create animatic in 3D to help with planning
  • ?classmate could create story reel as a part of storyboard requirement?
  • Schedule a day to shoot, check out equipment and tools needed on set, recruit help from peers (always bring food for volunteers)
  • Complete post work
  • Create Breakdown of VFX shot for reel

We will pick from some of the following standard FX projects:

  • camera projection
